Sr. CT Technologist (Full-Time, 40, Varied Shifts)

RESPONSIBILITIES
**I. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:**
• Responsible for the daily activities of the department.
• Provides work leadership and serves as a technical resource to staff; assures staff’s competence in all procedures.
• Ensures quality service and patient care in the department.
• Performs duties of a CT Technologist.
**II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:**
• Finger dexterity, seeing, hearing, speaking.
• Constant: reaching above, at and below shoulder level; repetitive arm/hand motions, frequent gripping of an object
• Frequent: standing, walking, twisting body, Stooping/bending, lifting and carrying weight of 5 pounds up to 30 pounds; pushing/pulling weight of up to 30 pounds of force; static gripping of an object for prolonged periods.
• Occasional: sitting, kneeling, walking on uneven ground; squatting, , climbing of stairs.
**III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:**
• Exposed to both inside and outside environmental conditions; cold temperatures due to the air conditioning.
• Subjected to noise/vibration from film processors.
• Exposure to communicable diseases, body fluids, mechanical/electrical units, chemicals and radiation.
**IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:**
**A. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:**
• Current Hawaii State license as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Current Computed Tomography (CT) certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT).
• Current BLS certification.
**B. EXPERIENCE:**
• Three (3) years experience as a CT Technologist.
• Experience to demonstrate:
o Knowledge of CT safety operations and capabilities.
o Knowledge of quality assurance activities as applied to CT imaging.
• Prior leadership experience preferred.
