What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be joining the Infrastructure Engineering team within CIBC’s Infrastructure group. As a Sr. Consultant, Infrastructure Management, you’ll be responsible for ensuring that Engineering Middleware and BI products and services comply with technology standards and various regulatory requirements to continuously add value to the organization. You will be an expert in IT Infrastructure and have the ability to uncover valuable insights using both deep technical and business knowledge. You will foster ideation and impact our digital and agile transformation by enhancing our clients’ banking experience.

How You’ll Succeed

Governance and Oversight - Provide leadership and effective management of governance tasks to support the Business Intelligence and Middleware engineering team to ensure accountability, and delivery of team objectives. Develop, implement, and maintain governance processes for SHR and patching initiatives, to ensure compliance with regulatory, organizational, and industry standards. Monitor and assess governance processes to identify gaps and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.

ITAM and reporting – Demonstrate strong ITAM and reporting knowledge, prepare team reports for ITAM, SHR and patching initiatives.

Vendor management – Work with, manage, and maintain relationships with partners and external vendors to maximize delivery and value of Engineering products and services (i.e., DXC).

Stakeholder Engagement - Collaborate with stakeholders using a consultative approach to provide relevant governance updates, raise issues, and secure support as needed. Establish and maintain strong working relationships with teams across Technology Operations, Technology organizations, and other key stakeholders. Serve as the central point of contact for governance-related inquiries and escalations for the BI and MW engineering team. Work with peer groups such as Automation, ITAM or ServiceNow to build strong partnerships by enabling effective collaboration. 

Who You Are

 You can demonstrate 5+ years' experience in enterprise-level Infrastructure Management or Infrastructure Engineering.

You have an understanding in patching and ITAM principles. It is an asset if you have good general understanding of middleware products such as JBoss & MQ, ServiceNow, advanced Excel reporting, Power BI reporting, Alteryx, Tableau or similar BI tools.

You have a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, and/or a related field of study.

You have the ability to manage multiple priorities and manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups or activities. Effective judgment in prioritization and time allocation.

You have decision making and critical thinking skills. You have knowledge of tools and techniques for effective use of a broad range of factors, assumptions, frameworks and perspectives when solving problems.
