To learn more about CIBC, please visit CIBC.com (https://www.cibc.com/en/about-cibc.html) **What you'll be doing** As a member of CIBC’s team, We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA) who will also serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Global Asset Management, with a particular focus on Investment Book of Record (IBOR), portfolio management, and a broad range of asset classes including equities, fixed income, foreign exchange (FX), and money market instruments. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between technology and business operations, providing expert guidance, driving innovative solutions, and shaping our asset management strategies through deep industry knowledge and hands-on leadership. _At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. Details on your work arrangement (proportion of on-site and remote work) will be discussed at the time of your interview._ **How you'll succeed** + **Understanding and Documenting Requirements -** Work closely with business partners to gather complex business requirements and facilitate solution design discussions to ensure you meet project needs. Build strong relationships, lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure solutions meet requirements. Primarily working with Rates desk but since it is a cross asset risk management platform they will opportunities working on other asset classes as well. + **Solution Design -** Build client-focused solutions that meet business requirements. Prepare and validate solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification, solution requirements, and quality assurance. + **Leading and Mentoring** – Support end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert, and provide guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals. Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems. **Who you are** + **You can demonstrate experience with:** Extensive knowledge of global asset management practices, with a strong focus on IBOR and its implications for portfolio management. In-depth understanding of asset classes, including equities, fixed income, FX, and money market instruments. Proven experience with the full lifecycle of investment products, including manufacturing, portfolio management, performance measurement, attribution, and client reporting. Solid grasp of trading instruments and processes required for the creation and management of mutual funds and ETFs. Expertise in asset mix strategies, portfolio rebalancing, trade execution, compliance with trade policies, and risk calculations. Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to assess portfolio performance and risk exposure. Advanced proficiency in analytics and data tools, including SQL, Excel (including advanced formulas and macros), Access, Power BI, and Databricks. Familiarity with Python and Excel Macro VBA is considered a plus. Demonstrated experience working in Agile environments, collaborating with cross-functional business and technology teams. Proficiency with Agile project management and collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, and/or GitHub Enterprise. Strong ability to gather, document, and translate business requirements into functional specifications and user stories. Experience developing and executing test cases, supporting user acceptance testing (UAT), and managing defect tracking and resolution. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications such as CFA are an asset. + **You put our clients first.** You engage with purpose to find the right solutions.
