Sr. Compensation Specialist
Description We are looking for a Senior Compensation Specialist to join our dynamic Human Resources team in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. In this role, you will play a key part in designing, managing, and executing compensation programs that support the company’s strategic goals. This position is ideal for professionals with expertise in corporate compensation practices, job architecture, and merit-based programs. Responsibilities: • Manage and oversee Workday compensation processes to ensure accuracy and seamless functionality. • Lead annual cycles for merit increases and bonus planning, ensuring alignment with company objectives. • Develop and maintain job architecture frameworks, salary grading systems, and compensation structures. • Conduct equity assessments to support fair and competitive compensation decisions. • Provide detailed compensation analytics and reports to HR leaders and senior executives. • Support audits and compliance initiatives related to compensation programs. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, Finance, and external consultants, to address enterprise-wide compensation needs. • Contribute to compensation initiatives for hourly workforce segments and other project-based tasks. • Partner with team members to align compensation strategies across business units. • Perform additional duties and special projects as needed. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field; relevant certifications are a plus. • Minimum of 4 years of experience in corporate compensation roles, including specialist positions. • In-depth knowledge of merit cycles, bonus planning, and salary structure governance. • Proficient in Excel and HRIS platforms, with preference for Workday experience. • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, particularly when handling sensitive data. • Ability to collaborate effectively across all organizational levels and departments. • Experience supporting hourly workforce populations is advantageous. • Industry experience in construction or energy sectors is preferred but not mandatory.
