Sr. Clinical Sales Support Consultant

CoverMyMeds (CMM) is looking for a Sr Clinical Sales Support Consultant to join our Clinical Sales Support team! Our Clinical Sales Support (CSS) team is responsible for delivering a high level of expertise in one or more CMM products, while having a broad understanding of the entire CMM product portfolio in order to provide a combination of product, customer, and clinical knowledge of our CMM portfolio to our customers. The Clinical Sales Support Consultant leverages their high level of clinical and product mastery to educate clients on best practices, uncover latest needs, and help build our partnership with the client. CSS personnel regularly prepare and present solutions to prospective and current clients including product demos, case studies, relevant data, and experience-driven insights. Finally, they serve as the Voice of the Customer to product teams for continued innovation and industry-leading solutions. 

Key Responsibilities:   

Client Engagement: Assist with preparing for client meetings, including disease state and drug education, competitive and market intelligence, feasibility consultations, project scope consultations, provider and patient insight, and solution evaluation. Participate in general customer capabilities discussions, solution discussions, and building ongoing customer relationships utilizing industry expertise to educate client on best practices as well as uncover latent needs. Consult across internal and external networks to leverage additional expertise as needed to inform solution recommendations.

Solution Sales: Monitor the customer experience, understand and assess customer issues, and support the innovation and implementation of strategic solutions. Partner with product, operations, and pricing to maintain in-depth working knowledge of CMM products and services in order to act as a clinical and technical consultant to internal and external stakeholders. In conjunction with the team, regularly prepare solutions to prospective and current clients including product demos, case studies, relevant data, and experience driven insights. Properly plan, design, and facilitate compelling clinical solutions customized to client needs. 

Proposal Support: Partner with Proposal Management to customize responses to Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Information (RFI) and Proactive Proposals., including customer value prop, process flows, executive summaries, case studies and solution review. Partner with product, work force management, and pricing to scope biopharma hub programs for new programs, services, and products. Prepare solutions to prospective and renewal clients providing clinical expertise and recommendations based on knowledge of disease state dynamics and solutions available. 

Product Innovation: Continued innovation of solutions utilizing in-depth knowledge of CoverMyMeds offerings, industry trends, healthcare landscape, legislative impacts and the competitive environment. Identify gaps in CoverMyMeds solutions and work in conjunction with Product Management, Operations, Client Management, and Competitive Insight to make recommendations for industry-leading solutions beneficial to current and prospective clients. Collaborate closely with product, analytics, and customer success teams to define and refine product functionality, value propositions, and positioning. 

Minimum Requirements: 

Degree or equivalent, and RN or Pharm D required with subsequent licensure within employee's applicable state

7+ years of relevant experience that includes progressive market access, product development/management, business development or marketing experience within the pharmaceutical manufacturing or pharmaceutical services industry (or equivalent experience in market access services provider roles)

Critical Skills: 

Previous experience in supporting a sales team with unique sales solutions, proposal support, client engagement, and industry knowledge 

Experience in the specialty healthcare or pharmaceutical segment with understanding of healthcare continuum and relationship between manufacturers, providers and payers 

Strong industry specific knowledge, including demonstrated knowledge of reimbursement, specialty pharmaceutical, and pharmacy distribution trends and practices 

Strong business acumen of commercialization and buying process including third party logistics, access and adherence services, consigned pharmacy, specialty pharmacy and retail pharmacy 

Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with collaboration skills and ability to influence others; ability to build credible relationships across multi-business units, management teams, business partners, current and prospective clients 

Proficiency with CRM Software such as Salesforce.com and Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint  

Specialized Knowledge and Skills: 

Strong prioritization, time management and project management skills

Proficiency in quickly and thoroughly understanding customer needs

Demonstrated ability to communicate (teach) complex concepts with high efficacy

Ability to function independently, demonstrate flexibility, as well as the ability to work effectively with internal and external teams

Critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills 

Physical Requirements:

Ability to travel 10 - 20%

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$110,500 - $184,100
