**SUMMARY OF JOB DESCRIPTION** Utilize advanced knowledge of Simens NX CAD component design, 3D surfacing, GD&T and other related advanced modeling/design techniques in the creation and support of models and prints. Contribute to the development and utilization of design standards, best practices, and Teamcenter. Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality and Project Management, to support cross-functional team value creation. Support internal customers as required in the use of and interpretation of CAD data. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** include the following: + Support internal engineering and manufacturing customers as required in the development of new programs (NPI) and the continuous improvements (CI) of existing programs. + Present and articulate design concepts, value engineering strategies during new product development and legacy product improvement initiatives. + Create prints and models from customer and internal supplied information utilizing Siemens NX, Teamcenter and department best practices. + Updated existing models and prints using Siemens NX and Teamcenter to support internal ECO requests. + Verify models, prints and audit sheets for dimensions, notes, and clarity as a first and secondary check. + Facilitate 2D or 3D information sharing with CAM and CMM Programming teams + Contribute to the development of Departmental Modeling, Drafting standards and best practices. + Train new designers to our best practices and standards when needed. + Additional duties as requested by management. **SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES** This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities. **QUALIFICATIONS** To perform this job successfully, an individual must be professional, proactive and positive, with internal and external customers and coworkers. Complex or Class A surface, Feature based parametric, and associative modeling experience is required. **Language Skills** Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers (internal and external) and the general public. **Mathematical Skills** Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. **Reasoning Ability** Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. **Technical Skills** + Intermediate to advance knowledge of Siemens NX. + Intermediate to advance knowledge of blueprint reading and geometric tolerancing, GD&T. + Working knowledge of Teamcenter. + Working knowledge of manufacturing process. + Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles + Working knowledge of layout/inspection equipment. + Medical and/or Aerospace Industry experience (preferred) **CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS** None required. **PHYSICAL DEMANDS** While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, or crouch; and talk or hear.
