Sr. Buyer
Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Buyer to join our team in Spartanburg, South Carolina. In this Contract-to-permanent position, you will play a key role in managing procurement strategies, vendor relationships, and ensuring the efficient sourcing of materials and equipment. This role is ideal for a proactive individual with strong attention to detail who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Responsibilities: • Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize sourcing of industrial materials and equipment. • Negotiate favorable contracts, pricing terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers. • Evaluate market trends and supplier performance to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and operations, to align procurement processes with project requirements. • Maintain detailed and accurate procurement records while ensuring compliance with company standards. • Address supply chain challenges such as delays, shortages, and quality issues to maintain operational continuity. • Lead the qualification and onboarding process for new vendors. • Support budgeting and forecasting efforts related to procurement activities. • Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze purchase data and generate insights. • Provide weekly project updates, including reviewing bills of materials, identifying new supplier options, and addressing operational challenges. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience in purchasing or procurement roles. • Strong expertise in sourcing, negotiating, and managing supplier relationships. • Proficiency in analyzing market trends and supplier performance. • Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams. • Advanced knowledge of Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Proven ability to address and resolve supply chain issues. • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. • Familiarity with vendor qualification and onboarding processes.
