Job Overview
Are you a detail-oriented purchasing individual looking to bring your expertise to a thriving organization? We are looking for an experienced Senior Buyer to join a team in Miamisburg, OH. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process, developing relationships with suppliers, and ensuring cost-effective and high-quality purchasing solutions. Key Responsibilities
+ Collaborate closely with internal departments to understand purchasing needs and establish procurement plans.
+ Source, negotiate, and manage relationships with vendors to maintain high-quality standards while reducing costs.
+ Monitor inventory levels and coordinate orders to ensure optimal supply levels to meet production demands.
+ Review purchase requisitions for accuracy and verify that requested items fall within expenditure limits.
+ Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including issuing purchase orders and tracking deliveries.
+ Evaluate vendor performance regularly to ensure compliance with quality, delivery, and cost expectations.
+ Stay up to date with market trends and pricing to identify new, innovative cost-saving opportunities.
+ Resolve any issues related to damaged goods, incorrect shipments, or any discrepancies.
Requirements
Qualifications
+ Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a similar role.
+ Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
+ Skills: Strong negotiation skills, excellent attention to detail, and vendor relationship management.
+ Systems Knowledge: Familiarity with ERP systems and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
+ Other: Knowledge of purchasing policies, procedures, and best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is highly desirable
