MAJOR DUTIES:
NCC Automated Solutions is seeking a Senior Buyer to join our team and play a crucial role in shaping the future of our supply chain. We are looking for individuals who are strategic thinkers, have a keen eye for identifying opportunities, and possess the confidence to lead complex negotiations. As a Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for establishing high-value partnerships, optimizing procurement processes, and ensuring the seamless flow of materials that drive our automation solutions. SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Track, monitor, and maintain purchase order deliveries to drive on-time delivery.
+ Communicate with, evaluate, and approve suppliers to ascertain their ability to meet company requirements, goals, and objectives
+ Perform on-going reviews to identify new opportunities for cost savings.
+ Drive positive performance trends for both external suppliers and internal purchasing processes through continuous improvements (metrics, root cause analysis)
+ Work with multiple departments within company to solve problems; engineering (drawing releases are accurate), planning, receiving (assuring accuracy of paperwork and products received), Quality (any non-conformance issues that need to be resolved)
+ Negotiate prices, discounts, and delivery arrangements with suppliers.
+ Address long lead-time components through Blanket Orders, Supplier stocking programs or pre-buys as applicable.
+ Advise and achieve lowest cost compliant solutions.
+ Analyze and interpret engineering drawings/schematics to understand the procurement and manufacturing requirements.
+ Ownership of MRP related information.
+ Create and negotiate various contracts with selected suppliers while exhibiting strong negotiating skills.
+ Interface with divisional and corporate supply chain personnel and other stakeholders regarding vendor performance, cost savings, and cost increases.
+ Analyze market trends and assess risks.
+ Send RFQ’s to obtain quotes, examine bids, and make awards.
+ Vendor Management
+ Sustain success metrics (OTD, PPV, Inventory MOH, etc), incorporating best practices, and effectively communicating improvements.
+ Proven ability to operate independently with limited supervision, exercising sound judgement.
+ End to End PO management.
+ Participate and contribute to departmental and company-wide process improvements and lean initiatives.
+ Effectively manage inventory levels of assigned commodities
Health and Safety:
+ Follow all Company Safety Policies and Procedures, as well as the safety requirements of our customers where applicable. Immediate reporting of any safety violations or concerns.
+ Ensure all applicable regulatory standards are met with regards to loss prevention, accident investigation, OSHA compliance
+ Works with team members to actively improve the safety of the plant.
+ Ensures that the work area is clean, organized, and free of dangerous or hazardous material.
+ Ensure safety action items are completed accurately and in time.
+ Continuous Improvement:
+ Participates in ABM initiatives and activities. (5S events, Kaizen events, weekly CIP meetings, problem solving, improvement projects, etc.)
+ Work with team members to provide input to improve process and workspace.
+ Provide feedback to your supervisor for process improvement ideas.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
+ 8+ years of prior related experience.
+ Proven organizational and negotiation skills.
+ Experience engaging with suppliers and analyzing suppliers’ operation to determine factors that affect prices and determines lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules.
+ Strong relationship-building skills (internal and external).
+ Strong negotiation and analytical expertise.
+ Demonstrated ability to work independently, meet deadlines and follow through.
+ Advanced excel abilities.
+ Global sourcing experience.
+ ERP/MRP experience.
+ Experience working in a manufacturing project environment.
+ Excellent proactive communication and interpersonal skills.
+ Certification such as CPIM or CSCP is a plus.
+ Strong attention to detail.
+ Highly motivated individual
