Job Description About the Role: We are seeking a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our Customer Core Team for a 2-year contract. This role supports the implementation of a homegrown Virtual Power Plant (VPP) product that gathers and analyzes metrics from thermostats across distributed energy sites. You’ll play a key role in understanding business needs, translating them into system requirements, and helping shape a product that supports smarter energy use across our customer base. No prior VPP experience is required—just a sharp mind, strong analytical skills, and the ability to learn quickly. Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business and system requirements. Analyze thermostat data and performance metrics across multiple energy sites. Support the development and enhancement of the VPP product by identifying gaps and opportunities. Work closely with developers, testers, and product owners to ensure requirements are clearly understood and implemented. Assist in creating user stories, process flows, and functional specifications. Participate in system testing, validation, and user acceptance testing (UAT). Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis and user feedback. Help train internal users and support change management efforts. Skills and Requirements 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to quickly learn new systems and technologies. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Experience working in cross-functional teams. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
