Sr. Autonomy Engineer - 3D Grade Productivity

Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it. **Job Summary:** Construction Digital and Technology Group’s (CD&T) mission is to make our customers more productive & safer by driving the digital transformation at their jobsites by maximizing their equipment and site operations through a portfolio of digital and technology solutions. These solutions include on-machine technologies as well as off-machine solutions including remote-control and back-office systems that will ultimately lead the industry to autonomous construction jobsites in the future. The key accountabilities for this role are to aid in the definition, development, validation, and delivery of Grade 3D Productivity solutions. This involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements and specifications, develop innovative features and functionalities, and performing end-to-end testing and validation of these solutions to ensure the delivery of high-quality technology experiences that exceed our customers’ expectations. **What You Will Do:** + Aid in delivering robust machine control & productivity features that provide superior knowledge using Caterpillar technology. + Perform end-to-end testing & validation of features to ensure high quality solutions make Visionlink Productivity the customer’s primary application. + Work with Customers, Dealers, and Product Stakeholders to develop feature requirements and deliver to production. + Partner with Caterpillar machine product groups to define & deliver consistent Grade 3D Productivity solutions across machine product families. + Collaborate with Caterpillar Trimble Control Technologies (CTCT), Cat Digital, Work Site Solutions (WSS), and others on development. + Ensure the end-to-end solutions meet cybersecurity standards & regulatory requirements. + Participate in initiatives and trade-off discussions to drive consistent off-board solutions aligned across product families. + Support scoping and developing analytical monitoring services. **Education requirement:** Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related degree. **What skills you will have:** **Problem Solving:** + Ability to analyze complex problems, identify underlying issues, and develop effective solutions. + Innovative approach to problem-solving, thinking outside the box to find unique and effective solutions. + Decision-Making: Strong ability to make informed decisions quickly and confidently, even under pressure. + Self-starter with a high level of personal accountability. + Demonstrated ability to successfully execute and deliver in a matrix organization. + An understanding of customers’ needs and product applications. + Strong interpersonal skills, including influencing/persuasion, negotiation, and communication (written, verbal, and presentation). **Software Development Life Cycle:** + Understanding of AGILE software engineering principles + Ability to gather and analyze requirements from stakeholders to ensure the project meets business needs and objectives. + Extensive knowledge designing and implementing technology solutions across multiple projects + Demonstrated ability to successfully execute and deliver in a matrix organization + An understanding of customers’ needs and product applications **Software Product Testing** : + Ability to analyze requirements, identify test scenarios, and detect potential issues early in the development cycle. + Meticulous in identifying and documenting defects, ensuring that all aspects of the software are thoroughly tested. + An understanding of customers’ needs and product applications + Strong interpersonal and communication skills to support user-focused testing and feedback integration **Top candidates will also have:** + New Product Introduction (NPI) process knowledge + Knowledge developing products for Construction or Resource Industries + Prior 6 Sigma BB knowledge + Strong project management skills + Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to perform complex assignments **Additional Information:** This position requires the candidate **to work onsite five days a week at the Mossville, IL office.** Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.
