Sr. Auditor Recovery Auditor
The Sr. Auditor Recovery Auditor will be required to: Utilize analytical and forensic email review skills to audit Merchandising negotiations to recover missed funding for the most complex Merchandising Vendors. Leverage in-depth knowledge base of all Merchandising concepts and programs and recovery industry knowledge to ensure all recoveries for all concepts are captured (including but not limited to Vendor Agreement change(s) and impact, Gross vs Net and impact, Core Returns and impact, Devals, Pricing, and all other Over & Above funding/negotiations). 3rd Party vendors to recover less than 10% behind Senior Auditor. Negotiate and communicate flawlessly with Merchandising and Vendors to successfully resolve claims and recover all vendor funding dollars due AutoZone. Senior Focus - Data Responsibilities or 3rd Party Audit Support: DATA Assist the Senior Manager with the Annual Audit Startup of the US and Mexico Audits, including but not limited to the following: extract, build, and analyze/test all datasets necessary for the US Vendor Funding Audit Tool; update the Vendor Funding Tool for all static and live datasets and test for maximum performance; responsible for the extraction and testing of all additional data necessary to perform vendor audits; build email case for US Audit. 3RD PARTY AUDIT SUPPORT Partner with Manager to build and develop a working relationship with 3rd party Audit teams in US and Mexico, potentially to include Indirect Spend. Duties include but are not limited to the following: attend meetings with 3rd party teams during all stages of the Audit process for both US, Mexico, and Indirect Spend; provide 3rd party teams with all necessary documentation and deliverables Support the Manager with all 3rd Party teams in analyst capacity to include but not limited to the following: assist with onboarding; research claims to ensure accuracy and consistency with internal guidelines and processes; provide claim feedback and coaching opportunities; review 3rd Party correspondence to minimize internal and external abrasion. Coach direct reports on processes and procedures used in Vendor Funding audits on a weekly basis. Serve as a resource to the team, providing insight to VF team members on best practices and unique claim. Responsible for drafting own correspondence for Manager review. Assist direct report(s) with creating drafts and sending straightforward correspondence. Assist direct report(s) with creating drafts for all other correspondence, including complex and/or contentious correspondence, for Manager review and approval. Additional Abilities and Responsibilities Include: Ability to synthesize complex and diverse information, as well as to translate business needs into technical requirements. Excellent eye for detail with ability to identify trends and patterns of information from data utilized when validating and incorporating datasets in VF Tool and when reviewing vendors. Excellent negotiation and communication skillsets are necessary for claim presentation, discussion, and optimal resolution. Drive to continuously innovate and improve processes to increase efficiency and accuracy in VF Review. Creative and strategic thinking with the ability to influence and build trusted relationships across the company. Ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines, and generate creative ideas to improve processes and performance. Education / Experience: A bachelor’s degree (BBA or BA) in Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or related field; MBA preferred Minimum 5 years’ experience in Specialized Forensic Recovery Audit, utilizing analytic and forensic skills to audit Merchandising negotiations and internal systems High efficiency with Data Analytics – Access, Excel, Rocket Shuttle, SQL Management Studio, SAS, Veritas Discovery Accelerator, Documentum, PeopleSoft, Arctera, and Google Cloud Platform programs (Big Query and Looker) Excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skillsets Ability to develop ad hoc analytical tools and numerical modeling of complex operations systems and processes and generate bold, creative ideas to improve processes and performance Benefits at AutoZone AutoZone cares about people.
