Job Description:

The System Engineer – Test position is owns the test process, including concept, design, root cause analysis, and corrective action. This Engineer will become a subject matter expert via collobration with Design and Systems Engineering. This Engineer will then apply their knowledge to create and refine test processes implemented by Testers and Technicians in Operations. Whenever issues arrise, this Engineer is dedicated to the determine why the issue occur and implementing corrective action to prevent future, similar failures. 

Essential Functions:

Define, trace and maintain test process requirementsTest procedure creation and maintenanceImprove test yield through root cause and corrective actionCreate product related technical information in support of OperationsEnsures overall technical performance for Test Engineering developmentsWork with Engineering to facilitate the transition of products from design to productionProvide input to Engineering to support product lifecycle managementProject management for Test Engineering developmentMentor Engineers with less experienceProvide input to organizational visionProvide technical test consultation to internal organizations, contract manufacturers or customersRepresent Test Engineering in technical discussions to outside organizationsEvaluate contract manufacturers capabilities to provide required products or servicesParticipate in product design reviewsSupport manufacturing floor to help overcome production issuesAbility to obtain a secret security clearance

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related (test engineering) experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 6 years of prior related experience.

Preferred Additional Skills:

Minimum of 2 years of directly related work experience in engineeringElectrical Engineering experience in both digital and RF circuitsPresentation and communication skills (verbal/written/visual)Problem solving skillsAbility to meet critical deadlinesAbility to collaborate, contribute, support in a team environment to ensure project successAbility to obtain a DoD security clearanceAbility and willingness to travelSoft skills (I.E.
