Sr. Area Sales Manager
**Job Description Summary** Summary of Position: The Senior ASM will be responsible for growing the business in all key accounts (Govt & Pvt) under coverage by creating demand for the medical products through personal contacts with key users, influencers and through education. Responsibilities: • Identify & establish new accounts. • Grow sales in existing accounts. • Achieve targets ( Primary & Secondary) • Organize, conduct in service workshops and train users on BD products • Manage distributors / retailers . • Ensure timely submission of reports to Branch Manager- • Must have worked in Healthcare industry (Preferably Medical Devices) for at least 2 years • Exposure to B2B sales would be preferred • Knowledge of MS Office (Working knowledge of Excel) • Good verbal and written communication skills • Ability to understand and analyze customer needs • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously • Motivated, Self Confident, Proactive, Open minded, Flexible, Good Team Player • Selling Skills, Product Knowledge, Analytical Skills, Successful track record **Job Description** Summary This position will be responsible for developing business in both existing accounts as well as establishing new customers within his/her assigned territory by providing clinical education to end users on BD products through various training programs. He /she will also provide input regarding product design, marketability of new products, market conditions and competitor’s activities. This person will have a proven track record of sales achievement in selling medical devices into hospitals and will possess excellent communication skills, technical knowledge, selling skills and organization ability. The position reports directly to Branch Manager – Hospital Sales. Responsibilities • Achieve sales target & growth rate by implementing effective selling strategies, demonstration of products, conducting seminars, and organizing promotional campaigns. • Develop relationships with key decision makers and those influential in the purchasing process. • Organize and participate in conferences, exhibitions, and trade shows to promote products and interact with potential clients. • Conduct training sessions for customers to demonstrate features and benefits of products. • Monitor market trends and competition and communicate information back to the organization. • Ensure timely submission of reports and records related to sales activities, expenses, and customer feedback. • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and introduce new products to existing customers. • Coordinate with other departments such as Marketing, Product Management, etc., to gather information on new products and their launches. • Maintain accurate records of sales, customer information, and market trends. • Manage distribution channels and ensure timely delivery of products to customers. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Science/Pharmacy or equivalent. • Master’s degree in Marketing/Sales preferred. • Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in Medical Devices industry required. Experience in OT products would be preferred. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
