Are you passionate about polymer analysis and looking to make a broad impact across multiple technologies and industries?
The Leveraged Analytical Science (LAS) team provides advanced analytical support to R&D and engineering teams across the company. As part of this globally networked team, you'll collaborate with experts in materials science, engineering, and complex production to solve complex technical challenges and drive innovation.
This role offers a unique opportunity to develop cutting-edge analytical methods while building deep insight into diverse applications of polymer science.
The position is based at the Korea Technology Center (KTC) in Dongtan, Korea, and is ideal for a highly motivated Ph.D. graduate with strong technical skills and a collaborative mindset.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze a wide variety of polymers in raw, formulated, or processed forms using advanced analytical tools
Develop and apply new analytical techniques to support product development, manufacturing improvements, and quality assurance
Generate and interpret precise data, delivering clear and timely insights to R&D and business stakeholders
Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand technical needs and propose effective analytical solutions
Maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure data quality and operational readiness
Communicate results and recommendations through technical reports and presentations
Continuously expand your technical knowledge and contribute to a culture of learning and innovation
Uphold high standards of safety and scientific integrity in all laboratory activities
Qualifications
Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, or a related discipline (up to 2 years of post-PhD experience)
Strong hands-on experience with polymer analysis techniques
Proven ability to analyze complex data and solve problems independently
Excellent communication skills in both Korean and English
Self-starter who can manage multiple priorities and deliver results under pressure
Ability to work both independently and as part of a high-performing team
High attention to detail, good time management, and a strong sense of ownership
Preferred
Experience with multi-detector GPC and 2D-LC for polymer characterization
Familiarity with working in cross-disciplinary or cross-functional R&D environments
Understanding of structure-property relationships in polymers and how to apply them to material or product design
