The SAP Finance Senior Analyst will be responsible for providing continuous improvement, enhancements and optimization of financial business processes within S/4 HANA Finance, Controlling, Project System, Financial Supply Chain Management (FSCM), and RAR modules. This role demands leveraging SAP Best Practices and partnering and collaborating with the Business Teams to meet business requirements while ensuring legal and regulatory compliance. The Senior Analyst will play a crucial role in deploying new capabilities aligned with the strategic priorities of the Finance Organization to drive innovation and excellence in financial operations.
This position reports to the Manager of IT Finance and located in Pune, India and will be an on-site role.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Design, configure, document, test, deliver and support solutions within S/4 HANA Finance, Controlling, Project System and Financial Supply Chain Management, RAR – Revenue Accounting and Reporting solutions (i.e. GL, AR, AP, FA, Banking, CCA, IO, PCA, COPA, Product Costing) to meet business requirements. Support localization and statutory requirements across all regions.
Design and write functional specifications for enhancements, reports, interfaces, conversions, and forms. Conduct system and integration testing, facilitating, and supporting user acceptance testing and providing training.
Collaborate with SAP Workstreams, Development team, various IT technical support teams onshore and offshore to design and deliver complete End-to-End solutions to optimize system performance.
Work in close collaboration with various business functions and interact with a diverse group of Subject Matter Experts applying analytical and problem-solving skills to enhance the value of IT system investments.
Translate business needs into process improvements and technology solutions in line with best practices and standards. Ensure the consistency and integrity of SAP configuration aligned with the global template
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Engineering or a relevant business disciplines. Minimum 10 years SAP hands-on configuration experience in SAP FICO, PS modules with cross-functional competencies and skills. Experience working in SOX-compliant environments and adhering to change management processes. Experience in at least 5 full life cycle implementations of SAP Finance and Project System, including S/4 HANA, in a global multinational company.
Proficiency in custom development techniques, ability to develop functional specification and experience implementing Reports, Interfaces, Conversion, Enhancements, Forms and Workflows.
Experience with SAP integration to third party solutions and Boltons SAP Solutions. Knowledge of integration with logistics modules SD, MM, PP. Understanding of the SAP Authorization concept. Familiarity with Intercompany processes and IDOC configuration.
Demonstrated ability to engage with the business to gather business requirements and clearly translating into IT specifications, conduct Fit/Gap Analysis and manage project effectively.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a global environment. Prioritizing problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Ability to work independently, lead multiple priorities and projects concurrently. Basic Project Management skill is required.
