Job Title: Sr. Analyst, Special Assets - Trust Loan Group

Description:

The key responsibilities of the role include:

Perform research and resolve inquires timely and accurately related to loan transaction processing, set ups, etc.

Ability to process loan/liability set ups timely and accurately ensuring loan/liability is set up on FIS and Trust Servicing systems.

Review daily reports to identify and correct any issues on loans/liabilities that may arise between FIS and IMS systems. Notify trust loan team of discrepancies for follow up.

Process loan payments received within 24 hours of receipt and within daily timeframes for processing. Ensure all loan information is updated accurately after payment processing. Review and process the Trust Liability Payments Report daily and within daily timeframes for processing.

Submit all loan documentation received for new loan/liability setups to imaging and follow up documents have been imaged correctly.

Performs compliance functions as directed by division management.

Completes other administrative functions as needed or requested.

Assists with the resolution of audit and regulatory issues as required within agreed timeframes.

Identifies, assesses and escalates compliance issues/concerns to supervisor.

Able to facilitate discussions and reach decisions.

Assists with system development, testing and training as needed.

Maintain mastery of, and assists with the documentation of, policies and procedures.

Additional opportunities for growth within the role could include:

Assists asset managers with the management of the specialty assets for the Trust Loan Group.

Track due dates, deadlines and expirations and work with asset managers to insure timely completion of tasks.

Assists Asset Managers in the collection of information necessary for the completion of Annual Investment Reviews communicating as necessary with partners and outside third parties.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will benefit from having:

A College or University degree and 1-3 years of proven work experience is preferred but not required.

Knowledge of specific area of practice useful, usually acquired through formal education or work experience.

Proficient in the use of Excel and maintaining spreadsheets.

Analytical and communication skills required to analyze and summarize information and effectively communicate with partners and third parties.

Organizational skills required to coordinate compliance activities and strong attention to detail.

Ability to work efficiently and accurately when workload is heavy.

Able to deliver a work product that requires minimal revisions.

Able to facilitate discussions, make recommendations and reach decisions.

Motivated to gather and analyzes data to identify and solve complex problems that arise with little or no precedent.

Work Hours: 7:00 am to 3:30 pm. This role is 5-day in-office position in the Phoenix office.

Salary Range:

$53,010 - 84,930 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
