Senior Analyst, Procurement Price Improvement 

This is a Chicago based role, reporting through R&D, in which the individual will be leading the Price Improvement Portfolio for procurement-based productivity projects across our North American businesses. The candidate will identify and mitigate risks and work cross functionally to build pipelines to drive delivery of the Pricing Initiative portfolio to meet business goals. Candidate will be required to develop strong cadence and routines with Procurement to capture cost reduction opportunities across our Supplier and External Manufacturing network, while collaborating with Finance Teams to ensure initiatives financially deliver by forecast. As well, the role supports value engineering projects (e.g. reformulation, packaging changes) through portfolio accuracy, risk management identification, financial analysis, and reporting. Candidates should have examples of developing work plans and routines, leading projects with multiple partners, and bringing cross-functional teams together to complete project plans. This includes understanding the business need, defining scope, analyzing data, drawing conclusions, communicating results, handling challenging cross functional priorities across a multi-category portfolio. Proven communication, organizational agility, and collaboration skills are critical in this role. The candidate should have strong project management skills in operations, procurement, or R&D space, able to apply prior findings or scientific principles for fast adaptation, challenge the status quo for productivity improvements. This position requires an individual to handle multiple assignments/tasks concurrently and demonstrate a high degree of autonomy. Exhibiting a collaborative and “thinking outside of the box” demeanor while applying innovative solutions are a must. While this role has no direct reports, this role will be indirectly handling and working with Procurement teams, Finance and R&D personnel, to effectively drive the Efficiency Agenda.

Portfolio Management of Price Improvement initiatives – build savings pipeline via working with Procurement Leaders and Buyers, identify and mitigate portfolio risks, advance execution issues and finally drive delivery of PI pipeline to meet Target 

Review, analyze, and report on Value Engineering initiatives led by R&D  

Create governance structure that links people, process and tool in managing PI portfolio for accuracy, reliability and integrity in financial forecasts 

Challenge the status quo and define a path to succeed 

Stakeholder management across Procurement and Finance Leadership 

Financial analysis of PI portfolio to show sufficiency and/or risks 

Collaborate with PMO, Value Engineering, and R&D Leadership to solve issues regarding pricing impacting VE initiatives

Minimum bachelor’s degree required 

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Direct Procurement (i.e., Ingredients, Packaging, External Manufacturing), Operations, Engineering, Food Science, Product R&D, or Packaging R&D. 

Prior Continuous Improvement experience within Operational environments desired 

Strong Project Management & Excellent Organizational skills 

Strong written, verbal, and listening skills 

Ability to effectively negotiate and influence business decisions and change 

Strong Analytical, Planning and Execution skills 

Effective at establishing trust and building effective business relationships 

Interpersonal Agility – knows how to get things done both through formal and informal channels 

Proficient Excel Skills and in developing Presentations

New Hire Base Salary Range:

$88,000.00 – $110,000.00

Bonus: This position is eligible for a performance-based bonus as provided by the plan terms and governing documents.

The compensation offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on the candidate's geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors
