Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accounting Manager to join our team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This role is pivotal in ensuring the organization's financial compliance and adherence to accounting standards while driving strategic initiatives. The successful candidate will provide leadership in technical accounting matters and foster collaboration across departments to achieve organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement corporate accounting policies and procedures in line with U.S. GAAP and Budgeting guidelines.
• Collaborate with internal teams to navigate complex accounting issues, including revenue recognition, derivatives, impairments, and fair value assessments.
• Lead the adoption and integration of new accounting standards, aligning them with organizational objectives.
• Supervise the Financial Compliance Program Manager, addressing technical accounting challenges and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Conduct and support change management initiatives related to accounting methodologies, including training and communication strategies.
• Identify areas for improvement in financial compliance and develop actionable solutions.
• Stay informed about regulatory changes and communicate their implications to leadership and relevant stakeholders.
• Design and deliver training programs to enhance staff knowledge of accounting practices and compliance requirements.
• Serve as a key contributor during annual financial audits, single audits, and tax reviews.
• Establish and maintain internal controls to ensure adherence to regulatory standards.
Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is required.
• At least 8 years of experience in accounting, financial compliance, or auditing, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
• Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. GAAP, OMB regulations, and other financial compliance standards.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and technical accounting functions.
• Strong expertise in auditing practices and compliance documentation.
• Familiarity with revenue recognition, derivatives, and corporate internal audits.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Proven ability to manage projects and lead change management initiatives.
