Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team near St. Cloud, Minnesota. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining our financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the preparation of monthly and annual reports. This position offers an opportunity to collaborate with a dynamic team while contributing to innovative financial solutions and operational improvements. Responsibilities: • Manage and maintain the general ledger to ensure accurate financial records. • Perform detailed account reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies. • Assist in preparing monthly and annual financial reports for internal and external stakeholders. • Analyze financial data to identify trends and provide actionable recommendations. • Support budget development and forecasting processes with accurate data and insights. • Collaborate with team members to improve financial operations and processes. • Prepare corporate and sales tax filings in compliance with regulations. • Record journal entries and ensure adherence to GAAP accounting principles. • Utilize tools such as Microsoft Excel and Viewpoint Vista to streamline reporting tasks. • Participate in training sessions to continuously improve skills and understanding of systems Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business field. • Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in construction or manufacturing industries. • Proven ability to operate effectively in a deadline-driven environment. • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to perform accounting tasks with precision. • Commitment to continuous learning and growth. • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with colleagues at all levels. • High level of integrity and discretion when handling confidential information. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with Vista Viewpoint and Crystal Reports is a plus.
