Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our client's established team. In this role, you will play a critical part in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the accounting processes. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment within the construction industry. Responsibilities: • Oversee the monthly close process, ensuring all transactions related to neighborhood and lot construction are accurately recorded and analyzed. • Collaborate with finance teams and divisions to review neighborhood budgets and actual costs, ensuring proper allocation to individual lots. • Reconcile and analyze general ledger and subsidiary accounts to maintain accuracy and appropriate classification. • Conduct audits of accounts payable invoices to verify accuracy and compliance. • Support year-end audits and quarterly reviews by preparing necessary documentation and analyses. • Monitor, calculate, and record cost allocations and accruals to uphold financial integrity. • Assist in developing and updating policies, procedures, and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. Requirements • A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the construction industry. • Proficiency in month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations. • Strong knowledge of general ledger management and account reconciliation. • Experience with bank reconciliations and financial reporting. • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data. • Familiarity with auditing practices and compliance standards. • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is highly preferred.
