Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis. This role focuses on resolving a high volume of reconciliation tasks and ensuring accurate financial records. NetSuite is a must have, having implemented NetSuite is even better! Responsibilities: • Perform thorough bank reconciliations to address and resolve a backlog of discrepancies spanning several months. • Investigate and analyze differences between bank statements and general ledger activities to ensure accurate financial reporting. • Utilize NetSuite to update, refine, and maintain financial records and reconciliation templates. • Collaborate with internal finance and operations teams to gather missing information, verify transactions, and resolve issues. • Document processes and propose solutions to enhance the efficiency of reconciliation procedures. • Provide critical support during month-end close activities, particularly focusing on cash accounts and necessary adjustments. • Assist with credit card and daily reconciliation processes to maintain financial accuracy. • Offer insights and recommendations for optimizing the use of NetSuite in accounting workflows Requirements • Proven experience in month-end close procedures and cash account adjustments. • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entries. • Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliations, including bank and credit card transactions. • Proficiency in financial reconciliation processes with attention to detail. • Hands-on experience with NetSuite, including its implementation or optimization. • Familiarity with daily reconciliation tasks and resolving discrepancies. • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex accounting issues. • Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
