Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Forest Grove, Oregon. This role is ideal for an individual with strong expertise in financial processes, who thrives in a dynamic manufacturing environment. You will play a vital role in ensuring accurate financial reporting and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities: • Manage fixed asset accounting, including tracking, reconciliation, and reporting. • Perform cash reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records. • Prepare and post journal entries to maintain the general ledger. • Oversee and execute month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting. • Conduct account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies. • Handle bank reconciliations to align internal records with external statements. • Utilize SAP and Microsoft Excel to streamline accounting processes and reporting. • Collaborate with team members to maintain compliance with company and regulatory standards. Requirements • Proven experience in month-end close procedures within a manufacturing or similar industry. • Strong knowledge of general ledger management and journal entry preparation. • Proficiency in account and bank reconciliation processes. • Familiarity with fixed asset accounting and reporting. • Advanced skills in SAP and Microsoft Excel. • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
