What You’ll Do Our Staff Accountants thrive on variety, combining their technical expertise with their ability to foster strong client relationships. You’ll take charge of critical tasks that include: + Month-end close processes, trial balance preparation, and maintaining the general ledger chart of accounts. + Preparing financial statements and managing complex journal entry adjustments. + Conducting account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany accounts. + Creating fixed asset schedules, coordinating depreciation, variance analysis, and ad-hoc reporting. + Audit preparation and risk assessment, including reviewing internal controls. + Assisting with tax return prep (sales, state, excise, payroll, corporate, or partnership). + Supporting budget preparation and analyzing budget variances. + Implementing ERP systems and using cutting-edge tools like Microsoft Excel (pivot tables & VLOOKUPs) for advanced reporting. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a senior role. • Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly advanced Excel skills. • Experience working with large-scale accounting systems. • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate effectively across teams.
