Description We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will oversee critical accounting processes, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and internal controls. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical accounting background, excellent analytical skills, and a collaborative mindset to support organizational growth. Responsibilities: • Manage daily accounting operations to ensure adherence to U.S. regulations and company policies. • Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries and reconciling accounts. • Prepare internal and external financial reports, including consolidated financial statements. • Analyze and reconcile complex accounts such as intercompany transactions, fixed assets, accrued expenses, and revenue recognition. • Work closely with FP& A, operations, and development teams to ensure accurate cost classification and financial alignment. • Coordinate the preparation of audit schedules and serve as a key point of contact for external auditors. • Provide financial insights and recommendations during project meetings. • Support the implementation and optimization of accounting systems and processes to align with organizational needs. • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned to support the accounting and finance teams. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred. • Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience. • Comprehensive knowledge of U.S. accounting regulations and internal controls. • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial regulations, and industry best practices. • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines. • Experience in renewable energy or partnership accounting is a plus, though not required.
