Responsibilities of the Senior Accountant:
+ Oversee and manage general accounting functions, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
+ Prepare and analyze financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
+ Manage accounts payable and receivable processes while identifying areas for process improvements.
+ Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies on a timely basis.
+ Assist with the development and implementation of internal controls and accounting policies.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support budgeting and forecasting initiatives.
+ Lead audits, ensuring timely and accurate responses to auditors' queries.
+ Monitor and ensure compliance with tax regulations and other statutory reporting requirements.
+ Mentor and guide junior accounting staff to achieve departmental goals.
+ Stay up-to-date on changes in accounting policies and regulations that may impact the organization.
+ • Handle the accounting for the divisions T& E reporting
+ • Month-end entries
+ • Dealing with inventory issues that come up in day to day production
+ • Working in various systems such as Dynamics SL, WOW, Grainsmart
+ • Complete reconciliations Assist with audit
Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or a related financial role.
• Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger management.
• Strong skills in preparing and posting journal entries with attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to perform account and bank reconciliations accurately.
• Experience resolving inventory discrepancies and related production issues.
• Familiarity with accounting systems such as Dynamics SL and similar tools.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills for audit support and team collaboration.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
