Description Responsibilities: • Manage general ledger activities, including preparing journal entries for cash transactions, prepaid expenses, and fixed assets. • Reconcile and analyze balance sheet accounts, identifying and resolving discrepancies as needed. • Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, including customer invoicing, voucher processing, and discrepancy resolution. • Oversee payment processing to ensure accuracy and timeliness. • Perform inventory reconciliations and investigate variances to maintain accuracy. • Execute month-end and year-end close procedures, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals. • Prepare schedules and documentation to support financial reporting requirements. • Review and upload monthly sales tax transactions, ensuring compliance with state regulations. • Maintain and update customer sales tax exemption certificates. • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve issues and improve accounting processes. Requirements Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required. • At least 7 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in the manufacturing sector. • Strong knowledge of general ledger systems, financial reporting, and accounting principles. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with advanced skills. • Familiarity with sales tax rules and ability to interpret state-specific guidelines. • Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new accounting systems. • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities. • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain accounting concepts to non-accountants.
