Sr. Accountant
Description We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our client, a dynamic manufacturing company based in the Horsham area, Pennsylvania. This role is vital to managing comprehensive accounting operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting financial strategies. The ideal candidate will bring extensive expertise in accounting processes and a proactive approach to problem-solving. Responsibilities: • Oversee month-end close processes, including the preparation and posting of journal entries for assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses. • Perform account reconciliations, maintain the general ledger, and prepare trial balances and supporting workpapers. • Compile accurate financial statements and coordinate documentation for external audits. • Ensure compliance with government reporting standards, including preparing incurred cost proposals. • Monitor adherence to internal policies, legal requirements, and established Delegation of Authorities. • Safeguard sensitive financial information and contribute to special accounting initiatives as needed. • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for multiple subsidiaries. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline accounting processes and improve operational efficiency. • Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills to create detailed financial models and analyses. • Assist in the integration and use of accounting systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field. • At least 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting roles. • Comprehensive understanding of full-cycle accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. • Proven expertise in month-end close processes for multiple business units. • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other Office Suite tools. • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational abilities. • Ability to work independently and collaboratively while managing multiple priorities. • Preferred experience with Microsoft Dynamics F& O and knowledge of business intelligence tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
