Description Katie Weigel with Robert Half Finance and Accounting is recruiting to fill a Senior Accountant role for the corporate office of an international company, located in Reno, Nevada. Reporting directly to the Controller, this right hand position will have opportunity to grow into an Accounting Manager position and is expected to have key responsibilities such as having a key role in the implementation of their new system (Net Suite), assisting in the consolidation of their international subsidiaries, backing up the FP& A function with ad hoc reporting requests and assistance with budgeting. Day to day responsibilities include: • Recording of monthly journal entries and reconciliations for all Asset & Liability accounts across multiple entities • Perform monthly variance analysis of expenses • Month end and audit support • Prepare and file sales & use tax returns, property tax valuations, unclaimed property, etc. • Reconcile intercompany activity • Upload payroll journal entries • Assist with cash forecasting To be considered for the role: Experience/Education: • BA/BS in accounting, or may consider finance or related field • 5+ years of relevant work experience Skills Desired: • Strong technology skills including ERP experience (NetSuite ideal) • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Excellent organizational and time management skills; attention to detail. • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines and prioritize requests and resources. • Strong Excel skills – comfortable with pivot tables, look-ups, etc. • Supports team efforts with constructive ideas and a collaborative attitude. • Comfortable using Microsoft Office for Outlook, OneNote, Word, etc. The company offers a competitive compensation and benefits package, and a great schedule in office, M-Th 7-4 and F 7-12.
