Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our local client in Lake Oswego. This role will focus heavily on lease accounting under ASC 842, ensuring compliance and accuracy in financial reporting. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong technical accounting skills and a passion for process improvement. Requirements Key Responsibilities Lead the accounting and reporting for leases in accordance with ASC 842. Maintain and reconcile lease schedules, journal entries, and disclosures. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (real estate, legal, operations) to ensure lease data accuracy. Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes. Support internal and external audits related to lease accounting. Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities. Stay current on changes in lease accounting standards and best practices. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred). 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years focused on ASC 842. Strong understanding of GAAP and lease accounting principles. Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and lease accounting software (e.g., LeaseQuery, CoStar, Visual Lease). Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities. Excellent communication and organizational skills.
