Description We are looking for a skilled Sr. Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract (potential for hire) basis. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact by overseeing critical accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance across financial processes. The position is based in Buford, Georgia, and offers a collaborative and dynamic work environment. Responsibilities: • Prepare and post accurate journal entries during month-end close processes. • Perform detailed account reconciliations, ensuring completeness and accuracy. • Manage bank reconciliations to maintain proper tracking of transactions. • Oversee prepaid expenses and fixed assets, ensuring appropriate accounting treatment. • Handle general ledger accounting activities to support financial reporting. • Assist with sales tax preparation and related compliance tasks. • Utilize NetSuite for accounting activities, leveraging the system's capabilities to streamline operations. • Collaborate with team members to support overall financial objectives. Requirements • Proven experience in month-end close processes and journal entry preparation. • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and account reconciliation. • Hands-on experience with bank reconciliations and fixed asset management. • Familiarity with prepaid expenses and their accounting treatment. • Proficiency in NetSuite is highly preferred. • Solid understanding of sales tax preparation and compliance. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote setting.
