Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing financial processes, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and driving compliance with company policies. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in accounting practices and a passion for delivering excellence in the oil and gas sector. Responsibilities: • Manage and oversee general ledger accounting activities, including reconciliations and financial reporting. • Execute and monitor month-end close procedures, ensuring timely preparation of financial reports. • Handle payment cycle activities efficiently, maintaining accuracy and compliance. • Prepare detailed reports on accounts payable and receivable, expenses, investments, and cash flow. • Verify the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications applied to financial records. • Coordinate complex accounting projects and initiatives across departments, ensuring alignment and efficiency. • Develop and implement cost reduction strategies to optimize financial operations. • Ensure adherence to company policies, rules, and regulatory standards in all financial processes. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. • A minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the oil and gas or manufacturing industry. • Proven expertise in accounts payable, general ledger management, financial reporting, and accruals. • Proficiency in accounting software, Microsoft Excel, and other financial systems. • Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities. • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
