Description We are looking for a highly skilled Accountant to join our team in Bedford, Massachusetts. This is a long-term contract opportunity ideal for a detail-oriented individual with expertise in financial reporting and accounting operations. The role requires someone who can manage month-end close activities, general ledger maintenance, and reconciliations with precision and efficiency. Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting. • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring all entries are properly documented and compliant with accounting standards. • Prepare and review journal entries to support accurate financial data. • Conduct account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies. • Collaborate with internal teams to support government accounting requirements and compliance. • Utilize Deltek software to manage financial data and reporting processes. • Provide detailed financial analyses to support decision-making and improve operational efficiency. • Ensure adherence to accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, with a focus on financial operations and reporting. • Strong knowledge of month-end close processes and general ledger management. • Proficiency in preparing journal entries and conducting account reconciliations. • Familiarity with bank reconciliation procedures and resolving discrepancies. • Experience with government accounting principles and compliance requirements. • Hands-on experience using Deltek or similar accounting software. • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills. • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
