Description We are looking for a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will oversee key accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations. The ideal candidate will bring both technical expertise and strong interpersonal skills to contribute to a collaborative and dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities:
• Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring all financial data is accurate and up-to-date.
• Oversee general ledger activities, including the preparation and review of journal entries.
• Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial records.
• Maintain and update accounting systems, with a preference for experience in Blackbaud Financial Edge or Nimble.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support organizational goals.
• Develop innovative approaches to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
• Proactively identify and act on opportunities to enhance financial reporting and analysis.
• Balance multiple projects and priorities, meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Uphold the highest standards of ethics, integrity, and confidentiality in all financial activities. Requirements • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and database management systems.
• Experience with accounting software, preferably Blackbaud Financial Edge or Nimble.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
• Proven ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple responsibilities independently.
• A demonstrated track record of professionalism, dependability, and a positive attitude.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop creative solutions and adapt to new challenges.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to a positive work environment.
• Commitment to ethical standards and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
