Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join a dynamic team in Overland Park, Kansas. In this role, you will oversee key accounting processes, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and contribute to the organization’s overall financial health. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in the manufacturing industry and apply your expertise in accounting and financial reporting. Responsibilities: • Manage month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion of financial statements. • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure financial data integrity. • Oversee project accounting activities, including budgeting, cost tracking, and reporting. • Handle sales tax compliance and filings, ensuring adherence to local and international regulations. • Perform detailed account reconciliations to address discrepancies and maintain accuracy. • Support international accounting functions, including consolidations and foreign currency transactions. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and recommendations. • Assist in audits by preparing necessary documentation and addressing auditor inquiries. • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and compliance. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably in a senior-level role. • Proficiency in month-end close processes and general ledger management. • Strong knowledge of account reconciliation practices and techniques. • Experience with project accounting, including cost tracking and financial reporting. • Familiarity with sales tax compliance and international accounting standards. • Advanced understanding of financial regulations and reporting requirements. • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
