A growing organization in Oshkosh, Wisconsin is seeking a Senior Accountant to take ownership of critical financial systems and processes. This role offers the opportunity to lead essential accounting functions, ensure accurate financial reporting, and contribute to key forecasting and compliance initiatives. đź§ľ What You'll Do
+ Oversee the financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency
+ Own the general ledger within the ERP system, maintaining robust documentation and functionality
+ Prepare and record complex month-end journal entries with comprehensive electronic support
+ Reconcile various balance sheet accounts, resolving discrepancies promptly and thoroughly
+ Review peer reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
+ Assist in coordinating the annual budget process, contributing strategic insights
+ Respond to external audit requests by providing timely, well-organized documentation
+ Manage one or more corporate accounting subsystems (e.g., fixed assets, reporting platforms)
+ Contribute to cross-functional initiatives and other accounting projects as needed

Requirements • Proven experience in month-end close processes, including journal entry preparation and review.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial reporting systems.
• Expertise in account reconciliation, including resolving complex discrepancies.
• Familiarity with bank reconciliations and financial audits.
• Experience managing fixed asset accounting systems and processes.
• Proficiency in budgeting and forecasting tools and methodologies.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
