Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Ontario, California. This position offers an opportunity to apply your accounting expertise in a dynamic and collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial operations and be available to commit fully to the role for the duration of the contract. Responsibilities: • Perform detailed reconciliations of cash and bank accounts to ensure accuracy and compliance. • Handle month-end close processes, including preparing and reviewing journal entries. • Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly. • Analyze and resolve discrepancies in account balances and financial reports. • Prepare financial statements and reports, providing insights into company performance. • Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel functions, such as Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP, to streamline data analysis. • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to improve accounting procedures. • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies. • Assist in audits and provide documentation as needed to support financial reviews. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field. • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on reconciliation and month-end close. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP. • Strong knowledge of general ledger management and journal entries. • Demonstrated expertise in cash and bank account reconciliations. • Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines. • Availability to commit fully to the contract duration without conflicts.
