Sr. Accountant
Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team on a long-term contract basis in Plano, Texas. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse and challenging projects, gaining exposure to various industries and accounting systems. Responsibilities: • Prepare detailed journal entries and reconcile accounts, including cash, payroll, and prepaid expenses. • Conduct monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for internal reporting purposes. • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings, ensuring timely and accurate financial workbook preparation. • Oversee and maintain compliance with internal controls and accounting procedures. • Manage the fixed asset ledger, including depreciation schedules and reconciliation. • Perform thorough balance sheet reconciliations during month-end processes. • Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliations. • Analyze complex financial data and produce clear, actionable reports for management. • Support various organizational initiatives and contribute to ad-hoc projects as needed. • Prepare recurring journal entries, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience with a focus on detail and precision. • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas. • Familiarity with large accounting software systems. • Proven ability to adapt to new environments and handle diverse financial scenarios. • Experience in account reconciliation, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation. • Solid understanding of internal reporting processes and compliance standards. • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail. • Willingness to take on new challenges and contribute to ongoing projects.
