Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Irving, Texas. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring smooth month-end and quarter-end financial close processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong expertise in financial reporting and analysis.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance during month-end and quarter-end close processes.
• Perform general ledger account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Create and post journal entries to maintain accurate financial records.
• Conduct bank reconciliations to verify account balances and transactions.
• Utilize Oracle Fusion for financial reporting and analysis.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address accounting issues and improve processes.
• Analyze financial data to support decision-making and strategic planning.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Provide insights on financial performance through detailed reporting and analysis.
• Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations. Requirements • Proven experience in month-end and quarter-end close activities.
• Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and journal entries.
• Proficiency in performing account and bank reconciliations.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Fusion or similar financial systems.
• Ability to create accurate and comprehensive financial reports.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with various teams.
