Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Houston, Texas. In this Contract-to-Permanent position, you will play a crucial role in managing financial processes, ensuring accurate reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. Responsibilities: • Oversee month-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. • Prepare and post journal entries, maintaining the integrity of the general ledger. • Conduct account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations and inventory reconciliation. • Monitor and manage financial activities related to federal contracts and procurement. • Analyze debit and credit transactions to ensure proper accounting treatment. • Perform full-cycle accounting tasks, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. • Utilize NetSuite and Microsoft Excel to streamline financial reporting and analysis. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial operations and resolve discrepancies. • Review and maintain accurate records of financial transactions. • Provide insights and recommendations for improving accounting practices and procedures. Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, • Proficiency in account reconciliation, including bank and inventory reconciliations. • Must have experience working with federal contracts and procurement processes. • Strong knowledge of debit and credit accounting principles. • Hands-on experience with NetSuite and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. • Familiarity with full-cycle accounting and financial reporting. • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines. • Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with teams.
