Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Senior Accountant to manage and oversee various accounting and financial functions within our organization. This role will play a key part in supporting the Controller with critical tasks such as month-end closings, budgeting, and project accounting. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, precision, and a commitment to excellence in financial reporting. Responsibilities: • Assist the Controller with the month-end closing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. • Prepare and post recurring journal entries to maintain accurate financial records. • Perform account reconciliations, including general ledger and balance sheet accounts. • Conduct cost accounting analysis to support financial decision-making. • Monitor and track project accounting to ensure proper allocation of resources. • Develop and maintain budgets, providing insightful financial forecasts. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to perform audits and ensure compliance. • Address additional accounting projects as they arise throughout the fiscal year. Requirements • Minimum of 3-7 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role. • High school diploma required; a college degree in accounting is strongly preferred. • Proficiency in account reconciliation, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations. • Hands-on experience with journal entries and month-end close processes. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to handle complex financial data. • Familiarity with cost accounting and project tracking methodologies. • Excellent organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple priorities effectively.
