Our client, a leading organization in the Hartford, CT area, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled accounting professional with expertise in reconciliations, general ledger maintenance, and financial reporting. Key Responsibilities:
+ Perform account reconciliations to ensure accurate and compliant financial reporting.
+ Manage the balance sheet reconciliation process to preserve the accuracy and integrity of financial statements.
+ Conduct bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy and transparency in financial records.
+ Maintain and update the general ledger to reflect current and accurate financial transactions.
+ Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring all transactions are appropriately documented.
+ Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel for financial data analysis and reporting.
+ Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
+ Work with ERP systems, including NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP, to manage financial reporting and operational tasks.
Requirements • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the field of accounting, preferably within the aerospace industry.
• Proven proficiency in Account Reconciliation.
• Ability to effectively perform Balance Sheet Reconciliation.
• Demonstrable experience with Bank Reconciliations.
• Strong understanding and practical knowledge of General Ledger management.
• Proficiency in creating and managing Journal Entries.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are required.
• Experience in Month End Close procedures.
• Familiarity with NetSuite accounting software.
• Proficiency in Oracle accounting software.
• Practical experience with SAP accounting software.
