Sr. Accountant
Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Santa Clara, California, on a Contract to permanent basis. In this role, you will play a key part in overseeing the financial health of the organization, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and driving efficient processes. This opportunity is ideal for a detail-oriented individual ready to contribute to a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: • Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded. • Prepare and review journal entries, perform reconciliations, and compile detailed financial reports. • Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting. • Analyze and reconcile complex balance sheet accounts while ensuring adherence to compliance standards. • Develop and implement robust accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls. • Collaborate with various teams to support financial planning, budgeting, and decision-making processes. • Provide comprehensive support for audits by preparing schedules and responding to auditor inquiries. • Manage key accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Payroll. • Contribute to cost accounting activities, such as monitoring and analyzing manufacturing costs. • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement efficiency-enhancing changes within the accounting function. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; certifications such as CPA or CMA are preferred. • Minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in a fast-paced or startup environment. • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements. • Advanced proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with NetSuite is a plus. • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate across teams. • Experience in cost accounting is highly desirable.
