Description We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Level Accountant to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver with strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills. You will play a critical role in overseeing financial operations, ensuring compliance, and contributing to strategic decision-making within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and ensure accurate preparation of financial statements, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
Perform reconciliations for general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets.
Manage the budgeting and forecasting process to align with organizational objectives.
Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for operational improvement.
Ensure compliance with regulations, standards, and external reporting requirements, including GAAP/IFRS.
Support audits and liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.
Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
Mentor and guide entry level accounting staff, promoting detail oriented growth and teamwork.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA or CMA certification is highly preferred.
5+ years of proven accounting experience, including experience in a senior-level role.
Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail.
Experience managing audits and working with external auditors.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Proven leadership capabilities with a track record of mentoring and team development.
Preferred Skills:
Experience in Manufacturing/Warehouse/Distribution. Requirements Month End Close, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Account Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations
