Description
Our client, an organization recognized for its dedication to excellence and innovation in San Diego, CA is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in overseeing financial processes, ensuring accuracy, and providing insights that drive strategic decision-making within a dynamic and forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely adjustments
+ Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, for internal and external stakeholders.
+ Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes, including journal entries, accrual adjustments, and supplemental schedules
+ Collaborate with department heads to create budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses, providing insights on financial performance and trends.
+ Coordinate audit preparations, ensuring compliance with GAAP and maintaining organized documentation.
+ Ensure adherence to relevant accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies, including tax filings and reporting requirements.
+ Develop and refine processes to enhance internal controls and improve workflow efficiencies.
+ Mentor junior accounting staff and work cross-functionally with finance, operations, and leadership teams to achieve organizational objectives.
Requirements
+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
+ 4–6 years of progressive accounting experience,
+ Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, QuickBooks, SAP, or other ERP systems.
+ Advanced Excel skills, such as pivot tables, macros, and financial modeling
+ Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
+ Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for presenting financial information clearly to stakeholders.
+ Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
+ Familiarity with complex accounting areas, such as revenue recognition, consolidations, or multi-entity structures.
