Sr. Accountant
Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Dallas, Texas. The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing accounting operations, ensuring compliance with company policies, and supporting critical financial processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with expertise in general accounting, cost tracking, inventory management, and fixed asset reconciliation. Responsibilities: • Handle monthly and year-end close processes, including preparing journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations. • Maintain the general ledger in accordance with organizational policies and accounting standards. • Analyze and track production costs, manufacturing overhead, and variances between standard and actual costs. • Monitor and assess work-in-progress and finished goods inventory valuation. • Perform monthly inventory reconciliations and assist with cycle counts and physical inventory activities. • Investigate inventory discrepancies and collaborate with operations and supply chain teams to resolve issues. • Record and reconcile capital asset purchases, track depreciation, and ensure compliance with capitalization policies. • Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and adhering to accounting controls. • Ensure compliance with internal controls and company accounting policies to maintain financial accuracy. Requirements • Strong experience in account, balance sheet, and bank reconciliations. • Proficiency in general ledger management and journal entry preparation. • Advanced knowledge of month-end close processes and financial reporting. • Expertise in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP. • Solid understanding of inventory management practices and cost accounting principles. • Ability to analyze financial discrepancies and provide effective resolutions. • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. • Proven ability to work collaboratively across departments to achieve financial goals.
