Description We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team in Atlantic City, New Jersey. In this long-term contract position, you will play a key role in managing financial operations, ensuring accuracy, and supporting business growth. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with a strong background in accounting and a passion for delivering results. Responsibilities: • Perform comprehensive account and balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy. • Manage bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner. • Oversee month-end close processes, including preparing journal entries and reviewing general ledger accounts. • Develop and monitor budgets to support organizational goals and ensure proper financial planning. • Utilize QuickBooks to maintain and analyze accounting records effectively. • Prepare and analyze financial reports to support business decision-making. • Collaborate with other departments to streamline accounting operations and improve efficiency. • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies. • Leverage software tools such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP to optimize financial processes. • Assist in identifying and implementing improvements to accounting systems and workflows. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting roles, including appreciations, budgeting, and reconciliations. • Proficiency in QuickBooks and familiarity with other accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP. • Strong knowledge of general ledger processes and month-end close procedures. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting. • Ability to perform detailed account and balance sheet reconciliations. • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy. • Effective communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
