Description We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Accountant to join our team in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will oversee financial operations, provide strategic insights, and ensure compliance with accounting standards. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the success of a leading provider in the healthcare linen and laundry services industry.
Responsibilities:
• Serve as the financial advisor to regional General Managers, offering analytical insights to enhance performance.
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements while ensuring compliance with established accounting policies and regulations.
• Collaborate with regional operational leadership to clarify the financial implications of their decisions.
• Manage month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
• Conduct account reconciliations monthly and quarterly to maintain accurate ledger records.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist with annual audits, budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to support strategic planning.
• Provide support for internal and external audits, tax filings, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Track and compile internal reports on assets, liabilities, and expenses to ensure financial transparency.
• Drive operational efficiency by developing improved procedures and resource utilization strategies. Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification required.
• 7-10 years of experience in corporate accounting, with management experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Oracle and SmartView systems is highly desirable.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
• Solid understanding of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal controls.
• Knowledge of cost accounting principles and financial statement consolidations is a plus.
• Prior public accounting experience, preferably with a Big 4 or mid-tier firm.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess financial data for strategic decision-making.
