Description We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our team in Hood River, Oregon, on a short-term contract basis. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting a single audit engagement for a non-profit organization. This position requires a highly skilled individual who can quickly adapt and deliver results with minimal guidance. Responsibilities: • Prepare comprehensive audit support materials, including detailed exhibits. • Conduct thorough reviews and reconciliations of the general ledger to ensure accuracy before the single audit. • Extract and analyze financial data from systems such as Sage Intacct. • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders to meet strict audit deadlines. • Perform bank reconciliations to ensure alignment with financial records. • Handle balance sheet reconciliations to maintain data integrity. • Create and post journal entries to support accurate financial reporting. • Assist with month-end close processes to finalize financial statements. • Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel skills to manage and analyze financial data. • Support audit-related tasks to ensure compliance and successful engagement completion. Requirements • Proven experience in balance sheet and bank reconciliations. • Strong knowledge of general ledger management and journal entry preparation. • Proficiency in using Sage Intacct for financial data extraction and reporting. • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and spreadsheet management. • Demonstrated expertise in month-end close processes and audit preparation. • Solid understanding of single audit procedures and compliance requirements. • Ability to work independently and deliver results under tight deadlines. • Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with stakeholders.
