Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Sr. Accountant to join our dynamic team in Edina, Minnesota. This role involves managing key accounting functions for a multi-state brokerage and local title company, requiring strong technical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates exceptional attention to detail. Responsibilities: • Support month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion. • Record journal entries and maintain the general ledger with precision. • Process closing transactions for the Minnesota market. • Manage batch transaction recording and ensure accuracy. • Reconcile bank accounts and other balance sheet accounts to maintain financial integrity. • Assist in financial reviews and reporting on pending transactions. • Oversee contract management and insurance policy administration. • Identify and implement process enhancements and best practices for efficiency. • Collaborate with managers and departments on ad-hoc projects as needed. • Handle human resources tasks, including onboarding, termination, payroll, and employee file management. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field. • Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in accounts receivable and real estate brokerages. • Solid understanding of accounting principles, including GAAP. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP. • Demonstrated ability to reconcile accounts and balance sheets. • Strong problem-solving capabilities and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. • Experience in a small business environment with diverse responsibilities. • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
